The mission of the Knox County Schools' Instrumental Music Department is to provide every student that attends a Knox County Public School with the opportunity to receive the highest quality music education possible through participation in a high quality band or orchestra program.  Every Knox County middle and high school offers a high quality instrumental music program, staffed by a highly qualified instrumental music teacher that is student focused and dedicated to helping students grow academically through music education.
