Chromebook & Device Insurance Information
Device Agreements - Action Required
- ALL PHS students must have their Technology Device Agreement signed.
- Before your a 9th grade student can receive their Chromebook, they need to have their electronic technology device agreement signed.
- Returning students who kept their Chromebook over the summer need to have their technology device agreement signed
- If your student is NEW to Powell High, the electronic technology agreement must be signed.
- The student ID (with the S) is needed to fill out the Technology Agreement and to purchase Device Insurance in SCO. Aspen is the easiest way to find that siD if your child does not know it.
- Note: the ID must begin with an UPPERCASE S (S12345)

Chromebook Insurance - Action Recommended
It is highly recommended that insurance is purchased for your PHS student(s). The average repair last school year exceeded $20. A broken screen, for example, starts at $50.
Device Insurance is cheaper than any repair
- There is no Insurance Agreement to fill out. The only requirement is payment on Givebacks. (Givebacks account setup information here)
- Payment is due on or before September 30, 2025.
- Online payment can be made in up to four installments of $5 each, making it easier for those with multiple students.
- Payments will be drafted on the first day of each month.
- Payment will NOT be accepted at any school location this year.

- There is NO fee waiver available for students who qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch
- Chargers are NOT covered under insurance and will be billed at $20.
General Technology Information
If your student has an issue with their Chromebook, they can ask their teacher to put in an IIQ ticket for repair. Office Hours are in the library with Mrs. Briano and Mr. Wells every morning 8:15-8:45 am and 3:15-3:45 PM (with teacher permission).
