Classroom Lessons 6-8
Classroom Lessons are conducted quarterly for each grade level. As school counselors, we have state standards to cover within the areas of Academics, Social/Emotional Lessons (SEL), and College and Career Pathways. All students will receive psychoeducational information on all standards during their 3 years at Hardin Valley Middle School.
TN School Counseling Model & Standards Policy
Erin's Law
The state of TN has passed Erin's Law mandating all public schools to implement a prevention-oriented child sexual abuse program. It orginated in Illinois in 2013, from activist Erin Merryn, and now all 50 states require public school to education children on childhood sexual abuse.
