Jana Cartee is currently in her 8th year of teaching dance in the public schools. As a student, she danced with Atlanta Festival Ballet Company as well as in the Atlanta Ballet's student division. Through college, she continued to dance and choreograph for Atlanta Festival Ballet as a member of their professional company. In 2015, Jana received her BA in dance education from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. Dance as a medium empowers students to pursue artistic expression and develop their own voice. Jana hopes to engage students through dance by building technical ability, fostering creativity, and encouraging exploration of individuality.
