Meet the Counselors
-

PERSONAL
As I begin my fourth year with Amherst Elementary School and Knox County Schools, I am overjoyed to return as the school counselor for the 2025-2026 school year! My commitment to counseling comes from a heartfelt desire to support and guide our students, helping them grow into strong, confident individuals. I am dedicated to providing love, care, and support to every student and family in our school community.
Working with our AES students, staff, families, and the broader community is a true joy for me. When I’m not at school, I enjoy traveling, spending quality time with friends and family, and embarking on new adventures with my husband.
I am excited about the opportunities this school year will bring and look forward to a wonderful year together!

PERSONAL
I'm Brittany Pattillo, the school counselor, one day a week. I will be at Amherst on Thursdays. This is my 12th year working in Knox County Schools, and I absolutely love supporting students and helping them grow both emotionally and academically. I'm passionate about creating a safe, welcoming space where every child feels supported and valued.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Matt, and our two kids—Gray (9) and Gentry (7). As a family, we love to travel, cheer on baseball and cheer teams, and go to concerts together. I'm so excited to be part of the Amherst community and look forward to partnering with you this year!
