The Black Student Union seeks to further the equality and diversity within Hardin Valley and the greater Knoxville area. The club seeks to:

• Create a safe atmosphere for our experiences
• Encourage and aid academic and personal success within our BSU at HVA
• Celebrate Black culture at HVA
• Create awareness for issues within the Black community among students and faculty and to advocate for actions toward those issues
