Vision
The vision of the Farragut High School Counseling Program is to facilitate student growth that will enable every student to graduate with the academic knowledge, career direction, and social/emotional balance to successfully transition to life after high school as a contributing member of society.
Mission
To provide a comprehensive counseling program that attends to the social, emotional, academic, and career preparation/college planning needs for all students. Each counselor seeks to have a positive impact on the lives of our students by upholding integrity and excellence. In partnership with other educators, parents/guardians, and the community, Farragut High School counselors facilitate the support system to ensure all students have access to and are prepared with the knowledge and skills to contribute at the highest level as productive members of society.
Farragut High School Counselors Believe:
1. All students have the right to participate in a program that includes academic, career, and social/emotional support services that licensed school counselors provide through a comprehensive school counseling program.
2. Student needs can be best met through a data-driven comprehensive school counseling program in collaboration with school and community stakeholders and agencies.
3. All students can learn and achieve academic greatness when given the opportunity and appropriate support(s) relative to their unique needs and abilities.
4. All students will be encouraged and respected regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, culture, socioeconomic status, and/or academic abilities.
5. School counselors advocate on behalf of students and families to foster the relationship between home, school, and community in an effort to increase student achievement and prepare students to be productive members of society.
6. School counselors adhere to the Tennessee School Counseling Comprehensive Model and Standards and to the American School Counselor Association’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice when interacting with students, families, and other stakeholders.
