Rachel Birchmeier:
I am Rachel Birchmeier (formally Ms. Stoutt) and this is my second year at FIS! This is my fourth year as a school counselor with Knox County Schools. I obtained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Carson-Newman University. I am so excited to continue to work with our students this school year!
Natalie Choate:
I am so excited to be back at FIS working with 3rd grade and half of 5th grade! This is my 10th year as an elementary school counselor, and my second year at FIS. I graduated from Lee University in 2013 with my Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I then attended the University of Tennessee and graduated with my Master's degree in School Counseling in 2016. I am passionate about making sure students feel seen, heard, and valued at school, and I am happy to help in any way that I can! I offer a variety of services, including short-term individual counseling, crisis intervention, small group counseling, consultation with families and staff, and monthly classroom lessons. Please feel free to reach out if you have any concerns about your child's social/emotional health or academic success skills! I can be reached at natalie.choate@knoxschools.org or by calling the school.
We are here as a support and resource to students, staff and parents. We look forward to working with you! To find out more about us personally, you can check out our Virtual Counseling Office found in our Counseling Canvas Course on the Home page. Once in the "office", select our names to find out some fun info about us.
