Dr. Heather Bowen

Assistant Principal- Engineering, Manufacturing & Transportation Principal 

Heather Bowen is a graduate of Concord University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing and Literature, a Masters in Secondary Education from Lincoln Memorial University, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands. Dr. Bowen taught English at South Doyle High School from 2014-2019. From 2019-2023, she taught ELA at Maryville Junior High School and served as the Academic Dean. She has also been an adjunct professor at South College, teaching both Leadership and Composition courses. Most recently, from 2023 to present, she served as an Assistant Administrator at Gibbs High School, also acting as the interim Academy Coach and as the Testing Coordinator.

Dr. Bowen moved to Tennessee from West Virginia in 2009. She currently resides in Maryville, TN with her daughter (Miriam), her son (Keats), and her Husky/German Shepherd mix (Katherina).
