Home School Support during CoVid-19 Pandemic
· Friends of Literacy: Friends of Literacy is giving away free books to students. You can download up to 10 e-books at a time for free. Spanish-language e-books are also available. Includes literacy resources after signing-up too.

· Phyllis Wheatley Center: open 8am to 3:30pm safe space for youth and families who are participating in virtual learning through KCS this fall. Staff will be providing supervision for virtual learning. Capacity is set at 40 attendees. Parents are required to complete a registration packet, parents must sign the virtual learning handbook, and students must bring their own electronic device each day. Lunch is provided. Masks required at all times as well as social distancing and temperature checks upon arrival.

Rent or Stimulus Assistance
· CAC East Neighborhood Center: The CAC recently received a grant to help individuals impacted by CoVid-19 with rent.
Qualifications: must be paying private rent (no KCDC housing, subsidized housing, or housing vouchers), a current lease is required, must have a separation notice or letter stating that hours have been cut, must have children under 18 in the home, rent must be current through February, maximum available is $750, must provide social security cards for everyone in the home, & anyone over 18 in the home must have an ID.
